The
Black Cat OPEN MIKE NIGHT
Jack Russell Pub, Marston.
Coming soon: venue in Jericho Oxford, to be announced.
New!**
PHOTO LIBRARY**
Since
Feb 2003 the Black Cat open mike night has caused a stir down at
the Jack Russell pub in Marston. Despite needing a grid reference
to find the pub, hundreds of you have made it down to join in the
fun. The night is a chance for local talent to do what they do best,
and we enjoy performances from the likes of musicians, poets and
comics, plus a few more impromptu or diverse acts. In return we
will provide an welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere and of course
an enthusiastic welcome for you on stage!
Where
is the Jack Russell?
Good question. Click
here for a map. The pub is number 21 Salford Road in Old
Marston. The easiest route by car is off the northern bypass (A40),
and there's plenty of parking if you are coming by car.
Otherwise it's a short cycle ride from the centre of town.

Performers Info
Each slot is usually about 10 minutes long but if you would like
a shorter slot please let us know on the night or before by e-mail.
Please e-mail us before the night to be sure of reserving your slot
as they go fast.
The
venue will have a good P.A system set up with options for a couple
of microphones. If you don't want to use the mike that's no problem.
Keyboards and other instruments can be incorporated but please turn
up early at 7.30 to organise this. Otherwise you can use the house
equipment.
