General Practice Websites

If you are part of a general practice and your site is not yet compliant with the Health and Social Care Bill, listen up ...

Health and Social Care BillOn March 27th 2012 this bill became law, and it increases GPs’ powers to commission services on behalf of their patients. GPs will control 85% of the NHS’ £106bn annual budget through their involvement in clinical commissioning groups (CCGs).

That's great, but the CCGs now have an imperative to ensure their members, (including general practices), meet a bunch of new regulations that must be implemented as soon as possible. In particular, all practices must develop a website, allowing patients to view services, surgery times, obtain prescriptions, become aware of new procedures, make and cancel appointments, and so on.
